Skiing and trekking all over the mountain
Mount Ruapehu which is located in the North Island’s central park region is home to the two main ski fields of the North Isle and I am going to be there and carving up the snow in a matter of weeks. With Turoa ski area on one side and Whakapapa on the other you can usually get a good day on one if the weather is not ideal on the other, not always but quite often, well according to the person I spoke to about my trip anyway. I won’t only be skiing there however as there are also some great treks to do so I will be spending a couple of days doing some of those.
