A birthday down at the lake

My friend Susie used to go down to Taupo often as a kid, when her family had a beach house down there and I recently remember her saying how much she would like to go and visit again sometime this year. Since it is her birthday coming up, a few of us gals thought that it would be fun to take her down for a weekend and have a lovely dinner somewhere. A close mutual friend of ours said that she would organize the accommodation as her uncle owns a place called the luxury homestay taupo, and surely he would give us a good rate or help us find a nice place to stay if he was booked out. I then jumped onto the internet to find a nice restaurant and make a booking for the birthday dinner.
