A father’s weekly ritual

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday I have to take my son to training bright and early. I’ve got in to a bit of a routine of dropping him off, get a flat white and driving around looking at taupo real estate. I started off reading the paper in the car, but soon got bored of that. It’s remarkable what you don’t notice when you’re not really looking. There are some amazing properties in Taupo and a variety of different style of homes. My wife laughed at me when I told her what I do, but secretly I think she’s hoping I’ll want to put an offer on one, she’s a bit sick of our house. After my son is done, we stop by Macca’s for a bit to eat but we always have to finish it before we get home, because that’s one thing my wife can’t know about.
