How do they make candles smell so good?
Candle fragrances are created by blending fragrance oils into the soy candle wax during the pour. The more fragrance oil that is blended into the mix the stronger the candle will be. Waxes can only hold a certain amount of fragrance oil and still burn correctly, so simply filling the candle with fragrance oils won’t work. Some candle makers use less fragrance oil, or add filler oils to the fragrance oils to dilute it in order to keep costs down. This results in a candle that only throws scent during the first few burns. Even worse that cookie candle you purchased might not even fill the room with fragrance. Candles that are more expensive generally contain more fragrance oil and overall result in a better candle experience.
