MEMORABLE BIRTHDAY

If asked what would be the most memorable birthday for me, it has to be my eighteenth birthday. It is because it is the day when I became of legal age officially. And it carries freedom from a lot of things including curfews and most importantly making my own choices and decisions. But this freedom comes with responsibility and trust. Gone were the Barbie doll gifts, Hannah Montana and Jonas brothers collectible items and other girl’s stuffs but instead unique birthday gifts like dad’s framed “to do’s” and “not-to-do’s” list, mom’s cookbooks and duplicate house keys (for extended curfews) and my sister’s designed curtains to change my hello kitty inspired curtains. It’s they’re way of making me feel like a big girl now. My birthday was indeed a blast.
