Supplements for Depression

There are a variety of natural supplements on the market that can help reduce the effects of depression. One of these supplements is called folate (also known as Vitamin b9). Studies have shown that people with low folate levels tend to be more depressed than those with higher levels. Folate complimented with vitamins b6 and b12 have been shown to be a fairly effective combination to help reduce depression.

Studies have also shown that people with low levels of Omega 3 fatty acids also tend to be more depressed than those with higher levels. Omega 3 supplements usually come in the form of fish oil.
