Fast Paced Workouts

Fast paced workouts are a double edge sword.  When you are lifting weights to gain muscle  you dont want to be getting too much fat burning high metabolism exercise.  When the metabolic surge workout is need to drop pounds from your body then you may want to consider using dumbells.  Although you can get a good fat burning workout with a barbell.  These days I tend to use dumbells more often than not.  You can use high weight to do these workouts also.  in fact if you are building muscle it is recommended.  You will ahve maximum stimulation this way.
