Master Cooling Your Voice Down and Learn How to Hit High Notes Without Straining

Do you know the human voice needs to be warmed up and afterwards, cooled down? It’s true, and it’s one of the things you will have to master if you want to learn how to sing high notes without straining. Most singers know it’s important to warm up their voices, but few understand that it’s equally important to allow the voice to cool down after one sings. Think of yourself as a runner. After you run a marathon, you don’t plop down the couch and sleep. You cool your body down by walking, stretching, and doing a few exercises. If you don’t, your muscles will grow stiff. The same is true of the muscles that make sound. If you don’t cool them down, they might grow stiff, too.
